Valvetrain

A term used to describe the mechanisms and parts which control the operation of the valves within an engine. This includes the camshaft (or camshafts) and its related drive components, the mechanisms that convert the camshaft's rotary motion into reciprocating motion at the valves, along with the valves and their associated parts.
