Valves

A designation to signify the total intake and exhaust valves in an engine. For example, a 16-valve V-8 would have 2 valves per cylinder (i.e. 16 divided by 2), whilst a 24-valve V-6 would have 4 vales (24 divided by 6). The more valves an engine has, the better the engine can breathe at high rpm, and the more power it will produce.
