Roll Bar

A single, strong piece of metal designed to protect the occupants of a convertible in the event of it rolling over. In many modern convertibles a strong windscreen frame acts as a roll bar. A roll bar can also take the form of hoops (known as roll hoops) behind each seat, such as in the Audi TT Roadster.
