Low Profile Tyres
Tyres fitted to sporty or high-performance cars with shallow sidewalls. These will give extra grip, but reduce ride comfort compared to a higher profile tyre. A typical family car will usually have 65-profile tyres, which means the sidewall height is 65% of the tread width, whereas performance cars may use 50-, 45- and even 35-profile tyres.
