Large Goods Vehicle (LGV)

Also known as Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV)

The formal term for goods vehicles (lorries) with a maximum allowed mass (MAM) over 3.5 tonnes (i.e. the maximum weight of the vehicle that may be used on the road including the maximum load the vehicle may safely carry).
