Intercooler

A device used on turbocharged and supercharged engines to increase the amount of charge in the engine, improve the volumetric efficiency, and lower charge air temperature, thereby boosting power, efficiency and reliability.

The device drives cool, compressed air into the cylinders, which forces more oxygen into the fuel/air mix inside the combustion chamber, resulting in more efficient combustion.
