Family Car
A class of car whose space and refinement make them ideal for family buyers. Examples include the Volkswagen Passat, Ford Mondeo and Vauxhall Vectra. They are also a popular choice for company fleets.
Unfortunately, this class of car tends to depreciate in value quickly, as supply often exceeds demand on the used market. Whilst this may mean new buyers may lose money fast on a family car, it also means that they can be picked up at an excellent price when used.
See also Depreciation.
