Customs and Excise Duty

A tax levied on any car coming into the UK. Vehicles purchased from a British dealer include the duty in the list price. However, anyone importing a car from abroad must pay the applicable Customs and Excise duty based on the car's price in pounds sterling. This must be paid within 30 days.
