Cabriolet
The terms cabriolet and convertible are often used interchangeably to describe a car with a folding or retractable top. In general, European manufacturers tend to use the term Cabriolet or Cabrio, whilst North American companies use convertible. When the top is made of a rigid material such as steel it is often referred to as a coupé cabriolet or retractable hardtop.
Unlike a roadster, which may also have a soft folding top, a cabriolet has roll-up glass windows in the sides.
