Barrel (bbl)
A term that refers to the number of barrels in a carburettor. For example, 2 bbl means that the carburettor has 2 barrels or venturi (or fuel nozzles), whilst a 4 bbl carburettor has 4 barrels. This number determines the amount of fuel that the carburettor can supply; the higher the number, the more fuel it can supply.
